A word from the Chair

Dear GHSA-colleague,

It is my pleasure as current Chair for the GHSA to present to you this first GHSA update of 2019. Throughout the year, we intend to keep the wider GHSACommunity informed of Steering Group meetings, important GHSA events, and upcoming meetings that are important for Global Health Security.

To ensure we do this right, we need your help! Together with the new GHSAsecretariat, we are currently updating the contact information we have for all of the GHSA-members, including the contacts of the various Action Packages and Task forces. If you have not already done so, please send your most up-to-date contact information to the GHSA secretariat (GHSA-NL@minvws.nl)

In the first three months, the GHSA has been busy putting the new GHSA 2024 framework into practice. A Steering Group meeting has been held; and an important deadline has been set for the Work plans for 2019: April 10. The GHSA Chair also participated in an excellently organized meeting for the Action Package of Workforce Development in Thailand.

UPCOMING DEADLINES & IMPORTANT EVENTS APRIL 10 – Deadline for the completion of the Work Plans of Action Packages and Task Forces

JUNE 18-20 – Sydney, Australia Global Conference on Health Security 2019
